How Sim Coaches became a company producing hydraulic sim pedals.

Lawrence Thomas

Have you seen us pop up online and have been wondering where we came from and if we're legit? We're going to break down all your top questions in this post so you can understand where we come from and what our mission is...

Late 2019 two racing buddies noticed their simulators really weren't up to par. For the past 5 years they'd been messing around on iRacing. Going through the typical frustration that everyone feels. Some nights you're wrecked just for taking the green... Other's you feel like a super star because you walked the entire pack and no one could touch you.

It wasn't until one night Seth, one of Sim Coaches founders, noticed something weird going on with his simulator... "Dude, have you noticed how much different your pedals feel at the end of the night compared to when we first turn it on and start racing?" He asked.

"Yeah, honestly, I just thought it was my imagination and I didn't want to say anything about it." I replied.

This was the conversation that started the journey we're on today. You see, Seth owns a machine shop in Las Vegas that makes high quality parts for Supras. (It's called Sleeper Designs if you want to check it out.) So creating new parts isn't anything new for him.

As for me, I was traveling around the United States working with auto manufactures at various race tracks across the country teaching their high paying clients how to drive their super cars correctly. (I say it like that because most guys think if you buy a super car that means you know how to drive...)

That's when we had a interesting idea. What if we combined our knowledge together and created a company that serves the community that we're already part of. We could fill the voids we see and help drivers that want to become race car drivers achieve their goals.

That's when we created Sim Coaches. Our #1 priority is to give racing drivers the tools they need to have an unfair advantage over every other driver on the track. We do this in a multitude of ways. Through my 20 years of racing/coaching I am able to teach drivers the techniques they need to use to squeeze the maximum performance out of their car.

With Seth's over 25 years of machine shop experience, he would be able to create hyper realistic equipment that would give drivers the highest level of immersion. This is important because if the equipment you're using feels real, you're able to leverage your muscle memory and continue to build upon it every time you get on the track .

As time goes on we continue to create new programs/products that help bring us closer to our goal of helping drivers achieve their dreams of being a series champion and being on the top of the podium.

Our hydraulic sim pedals are continuing to change how drivers race online. Drivers all around the world are seeing how big of a difference simply changing to more realistic pedals will make. Helping them drive deeper into the corners and get on the power more aggressively all while keeping the car under control. It's been great to see what's been able to be acheived.

Building a family of drivers is all we're interested in. We have no interest in the dark side of the sim racing community. (You know, all the crap talking, name calling and demoralizing that goes online.) We're here to help elevate drivers and take them to the next level.

If you're interested in seeing what we have to offer and how we can help you close in on your dreams. Reach out to us and we'll see how we can help. Till then, these two boys from Las Vegas, Nevada are going to continue to chop away at our goal of becoming a force to be reckoned with in the sim racing community.
